Railway Recruitment Control Board India (RRB) was set up in 1998. At present railway recruitment board of India invites online applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot & Technicians.

Eligibility Conditions :

Nationality

A candidate for appointment to Railway Services must be

(a) a citizen of India , or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan,  Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania or from Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age : 18 to 28 Years as on 01.07.2018
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/07/1990 and not later than 01/07/2000 (both days including) are only eligible to apply.

Age relaxation is applicable 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Pwd (UR), 13 years for PwD (OBC), 15, years for PwD (SC/ ST) candidates & for others as per rules.

Educational Qualification: To apply for RRB ALP and Technician post, Candidates should have the Educational/Technical qualifications indicated for notified posts in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the closing date for submission of the ONLINE application.
Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification should not apply.
Educational Qualification ASSISTANT LOCO PILOT : Candidates must have done engineering Degree/ Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel /
Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman.
OR
Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades.
OR
3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR) Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI

Educational Qualification TECHNICIAN GRADE III : Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades
OR
Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades

Selection Process: The entire recruitment process shall involve, First stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (only for ALP) and Document Verification as applicable.

Scale of pay : Level 02 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with initial pay of  19900/- plus other allowances as admissible.  

How to Apply : Eligible candidates may apply online through the concerned RRB website on or before 5-03-2018 by 23:59 P.M

Only single ONLINE application (common to all the notified posts - ALP and Technicians) has to be submitted by the candidates through the link CEN 01/2018 provided on the official websites of RRBs.

Examination Fee: For all candidates except the fee concession categories : Rs. 500/-

For Candidates belonging to SC/ ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class : Rs. 250/-

MODES OF PAYMENT OF FEE :
a. ONLINE fee payment through internet banking or debit/credit cards upto 05.03.2018 till 22.00 Hrs.
b. OFFLINE fee payment through
i. SBI Bank Branch for Challan Payment mode closes on 05.03.2018 at 13.00 Hrs in any branch of SBI.
ii. Post Office Challan Payment mode closes on 03.03.2018 at 13.00 Hrs in any branch of computerized Post Office.
All applicable service charges shall be borne by the candidate.
If the fee is paid through off line mode viz (b) i & ii above, the receipt should be preserved.
The same should be produced on demand at the time of DV.
